In this role, the Candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all luggage product categories, driving growth, profitability, and market share for the brand. You will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic initiatives, ensuring the success of our product lines in a highly competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Category Strategy and Planning
-Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy aligned with overall company objectives.
-Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
-Create annual and long-term business plans, including product development, pricing, and promotional strategies.
2. Product Portfolio Management
-Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring an innovative and competitive product portfolio.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, merchandising, and marketing, to bring innovative and market-leading products to market.
3. Financial Performance
-Set and achieve financial targets for the category, including revenue, margin, and inventory management.
-Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.
4. Team Leadership
-Build & lead a high-performing team, providing guidance and support.
-Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the category team.
5. Market Expansion
-Identify and pursue opportunities for market expansion, including new product lines, geographic markets, and customer segments.
Qualifications Required
-Stay informed about industry trends, consumer behavior, and emerging technologies.
-Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
-Proven experience of at least 8 years in a category/product marketing role within the luggage or consumer retail industry.
-Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
-Demonstrated success in product development, launch, and management.
-Track record of achieving financial targets and driving business growth.
